                                                                         Tournament Rules



SLUG BUNTS NOT ALLOWED, batter who shows bunt may not swing, batter will be ruled out.

Maximum of 6 innings pitched per back to back games per pitcher.  
1 pitch is considered an inning.  2 trips to the mound in a inning and that pitcher must be
removed.

Only the starting pitcher may re-enter to the mound at a later point in the game.

Teams may bat the entire order, may use EH. If team bats order, injured or missing players in
the order will be considered an out. If team bats lineup, free defensive substitution is allowed.  
No DH allowed. Teams may decide to bat the order or not bat the order regardless of what their
opponent does.

No Tobacco use by players or coaches, no cell phone use on field.

Manager is the only person to communicate with umpires.  Manager will deal with his teams
loud or obnoxious fans. Sportsmanship is the basis of everything we do. Lets be role models
for our kids

Dugouts on a first come first serve basis – Home team determined by coin flip.
Clean dugout right after game and hold team meetings in the grass

Time limit of 1 hour 30 minutes. No inning starts after 1 hr 30 minutes. The last out of the inning
is considered the start time for the next inning.

Mercy rule: 10 runs after 4 innings in pool play

Slide or avoid all contact. No crashing catcher, no breaking up double plays. No intentional or
malicious contact with defensive player. Player will be called out and removed from game if
malicious.

Pool play games may end in a tie

Get on and off the field. We expect 2 minutes between innings, 3 warm up pitches between
innings, 6 for new pitcher.

Only Umpires can call time out.  Ball is live until play is called either by the umpire, a foul tip, a
hit batter or the pitcher is on the mound with the ball and the catcher is in the catcher’s box.

No big barrel bats or metal cleats

Do not warm up on infield.

Helmets must be worn in the batting cage by all youth, no kids pitching to kids.

Give game balls back to umpire.

All other rules will be governed by Babe Ruth/Cal Ripken rule book
